Praised for her “sparkling” voice and “exceptional acting,” coloratura soprano Catherine Goode enjoys performing both on and off the operatic stage. This season, she makes her Opera Columbus and role debut as Drusilla in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea. She made her professional debut last season as a Herndon Foundation Emerging Artist with Virginia Opera in their production of Madama Butterfly, in which she sang the role of Kate Pinkerton.

Catherine will be one of the inaugural Resident Artists at Opera Coumbus in the 2019-2020 season. Performances will include a role debut as Drusilla in
L'incoronazione di Poppea. The Resident Artist program is in collaboration with Capital University, where Catherine is an adjunct professor of voice.
Catherine joins Kentucky Opera as a member of the Barbara and Halsey Sandford Studio Artist Program for the 2020-2021 season. Performances will include role debuts as Dew Fairy (Hansel and Gretel) and Amore (Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice).
